Graphics are dated but still very much serviceable; though the atmosphere and gameplay remain top notch for fans of the stealth genre.
Anyway, since then I had the small and unoriginal itch of creating a thief character for GURPS.
Note: Characters in Character Spotlight are created with the "coolness factor" in mind, not min-maxing.
As I'm awfully unimaginative he's also named Garret. I decided on a decent budget for him (somewhere between 100-150 points) and started having fun.
I figured this Garret is still very young (19 years old) and so had not had the time to hone his skills to perfection. He's also pretty much down-and-out on his luck, only barely making it.
Luck is a must, specially if working alone! Also, Night Vision is quite useful in his line of work.

His fence, Basso, is pretty much the same: just a small time criminal, still getting up to really know the bussiness.
I wanted to keep equipment restricted to the Basic Set, but found it pretty lacking; so from Low-Tech came the small pry-bar, leather pouch, cloth bag and grappling hook (which in BS is TL5 only!). All other equipment is from the Basic Set.
Finally, even though the game series has a lot of divergent technology, I decided to keep things TL3 for simplicity's sake. Let's take a look!
There's plenty of room for improvement! For starters, I think a bit more ST wouldn't hurt, though 10 points on it could easily be better spent somewhere else... Also, throwing knives won't cut it! Even though Garret is a thief and not an assassin, I think learning how to use the crossbow would be a good idea.
What would you have done differently? Where would you take him in terms of character development?
Cheers!

- 05/13/2020: Revisited this sheet, gave him 9 more points and shuffled some things around.
